Gooseberry Falls State Park, near Two Harbors, Minnesota, was developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's. Besides the falls on the Gooseberry River, the park is very well known for the stone structures built by the CCC. The picnic tables are a great place for lunch along Lake Superior. The falls are right along the highway. Easy access allows for wading in the water (for both people and dogs!).
